Since moving to Tupelo, MS in July, 2023 I have been getting settled into our new home, building a studio and connecting with the Mississippi art community. The Gumtree Museum of Art recently hosted its annual member’s show and it was a pleasure to participate with my painting TRACE that was inspired from images taken at Trace State Park about 5miles from my studio. I had heard that Mississippi is very supportive of their artists and I am seeing first hand that this is true. Here is a link to the museum if you want to follow their activities. Tupelo studio completed and functional.
Thankful to have my new creative space completed and functional as of October 2024. I still need to complete my kitchenette which will also be used by my wife, Cynthia, for her medicinal herb products. We have both enjoyed having this special place to play/work.

Recently installed "Louisiana Oak" in the office of Lance Roux and Myrna Arroyo.
Haven’t seen friends Lance Roux and Myrna Arroyo for more that 8 years. Lance called in 2022 saying he and Myrna just completed their new office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and wanted a painting of mine for the new lobby. It was great to see them and so honored that we decided on this image “Louisiana Oak”, 60” x60”, acrylic on canvas. This painting referenced from a photo I shot in 2021 while visiting Fontainebleau Park just outside Mandeville. Thank you so much Lance and Myrna. Enjoy!

"Silent Cove", reflective and peaceful.
One of my latest works is a meditative piece that allowed me to investigate ways to portray nature’s healing power with a simplified message. Still very graphic but also peaceful. Balancing color notes and utilizing natural laws of light behavior to document a moment in time.
"Humble Offerings" creates opportunity for interaction.
This installation presented at Fenix Gallery in Fayetteville, AR for the “Collaborations and Conversations” exhibit 3/2019.
The concept was to construct a spiritual space for participants to offer messages to the universe. As more were added the piece began to take on a different shape and power.
